Proposals

Our proposals comprise two phases:

• Creating new community facilities; and
• The housing development.

Both developments form part of the same proposal. You can find details of the plans using the tabs on the left hand side.

The favoured option for refurbishment of the existing Hall was not viable because grant funding of the scale required could not be secured, and the Trust is not in a position to borrow money to fund a refurbishment. This left the option to sell the part of the site that is the part which is most uneconomical, inefficient and in need of repair, and to invest monies raised from this sale in creating new and improved facilities on the remaining part of the site as the preferred option, in a bid to secure the future of The Greig.
